University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar (Mechatronics Engineering) hosted a two-day Expert Review Session from June 19–20, 2025, the event brought together key stakeholders from NAVTTC, KP TEVTA, academia, industry, and curriculum development experts. The focus was to revise and enhance 15 priority Construction and Hospitality courses to better prepare youth for modern workforce demands. The review was part of a larger initiative grounded in a robust Training Needs Assessment (TNA), which shortlisted 40 high-demand driven courses for upgrading. Of these, the session concentrated on those requiring immediate attention—spanning digital, emerging, and TEVT sectors. From Solar Installation to Digital Marketing, Project Management, and Hospitality Front Desk Systems, experts scrutinized each course for content gaps, outdated modules, and new industry trends.
Participants worked in breakout groups to propose curriculum reforms, integrate modern tools, and suggest assessment improvements. The workshop also set the stage for rolling out revised courses across NAVTTC programs, ensuring alignment with Pakistan’s national technical education goals. This milestone marks a critical step toward transforming vocational education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—one that ensures learners are not just certified, but truly skilled and market-ready.
